Hi, I'm Anna.
I am a Kent State graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communication Design. I am currently a designer at designRoom in Cleveland.
With my project on typographic manifestos, I won membership to the International Society of Type Designers. I spoke at Typecon 2019; my presentation, Character Actor: Type Expressing Gender, explored the history of handwriting and type with a close focus on how gender influenced them. I also spoke at TypeWknd 2020 on the topic of meme typography. A written version of that talk can be found here.
I particularly enjoy and excel at information design and systems thinking. I have experience with typeface design, identity design, social media graphics, infographic design, and front-end web design.
